reviews difficult to get For self published authors > Likes and Comments

Hi, have any other self published authors found it difficult to get lots of reviews? Every book needs at least 50 reviews For Amazons algorithms. Would anyone like to swap a review for a review? Or Would anyone Write a review if I sent a PDF or Kindle copy? I'm talking about THE ALPINE FORTRESS BY ROWENA KINREAD. It is a present day thriller with a Historic background, WW2. It takes place in Berchtesgaden in an action packed plot, crossing the Watzman In a blizzard, searching for a Drug lord and lost Nazi treasure. It's my first time here, so please answer

I am willing to buy at least 10 indie author kindle books and read as many KU books as possible in exchange for you reading mine. Its viewed an authentic review if the reader purchases. My debut novel is a lighter read. At its core its about friendship and stepping out of your comfort zone with a dash of mystery and romance set on the beautiful island of Cozumel, Mexico. It a long one but an easy read from what everyone tells me. Its $12.99 on Amazon but isn't on KU since I published elsewhere. Message me with the AZ link to your book and I will send you mine. Even ratings of 4/5 stars without a review are great as I do have some fabulous reviews thankfully. I love this idea and I do not care the genre I will happily read and review your book.

TBH the only way I've seen to get scores of reviews is to pay a company that sends your book out to loads of reviewers and guarantees at least a certain number of reviews.

I've opted not to do this, and have done giveaways, author swaps, etc. and I still have less than fifty reviews after a year... it is what it is.

Aren't the rules kind of complicated in terms of book swapping for reviews- meaning amazon bans it. I think you have to go about it in a certain way like use getbooksreviewed.com sites. Anyone know about that or similar?

So my idea is that it would cost a lot less for me to purchase the e-book of Indie authors read it and rate it/review it. I would never rate it less than a four star. I would always give you feedback if I felt it was below that and I would expect the same. I feel like this is legit. It’s not going behind Amazon‘s back. It’s actually reading each other‘s books. My publisher offers an option for reviews and it was $1200 for 10 reviews so I figure for around $200 we can give each other 20 reviews legitimately.

I have so many people read my book on kindle, but no one leaves any reviews? I don't understand it. Any advice?

I have the same problem too, but not all my books are currently on Amazon.
It seems like it's harder to get reviews on other platforms.
I have all my books, including my latest release on Lulu.

Amazon takes only reviews from the people who have purchased last year at least 50$ of stuff from there!

Obviously Amazon reviews, best of all verified, are the most valuable. I have just opened the trial period for kindle unlimited And probably Many of your Books are On offer for free at kindle unlimited. Mine is. So if you buy it, free On kindle unlimited, And review it, Then it should count as a verified review. I Advise you to find it on Amazon and read the blurb, so that you know if the genre interests you or not. I will do the same For you. I.e. buy, Read, review on Amazon and good reads.
