message 1: by Michael Dean (new)

Michael Dean Edwards Crowley’s gift was to digest the legitimate work of others and do his best to credit himself in his usual power grabs. However, he wassss the mentor for and inspired Anton Level, The Church of Satan; Gerald Gardner, Wicca; and Ross Nichols, OBOD, Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids. His Gnostic attempts are beyond his reach. So, while an interesting historical personality, Manly Hall is a more reliable person whose contributions also inspired many: See - The Secret Teachings of All Ages, and his version of The Chemical Marriage, for instance.

Marco Manly Hall, the same who wrote about Freemasonry with pomp and authority, but years before being initiated himself? :)
