I do admire when a review says that a work was well written, even as they explain why they did not enjoy it.
Really, we need two separate star systems; one for how well we feel a work was crafted; the second for how much we enjoyed the read.

Thanks for the review. I've been debating starting this, but it seems we are alike in our preference for a good story over a well-written one.
