I couldn't agree more, Freddie. Writing is one of those crafts that can only be learned and mastered by doing it. A writer can only become a writer by writing. In school, I hated to write, I hated anything to do with writing. I loved to read. I became a certified card carrying bibliophile at the ripe old age of eight, but I hated to write. I was in my thirties, that was way back in the 1970s, when I had this overpowering urge to write. I got my start as a writer by writing fiction for a handful of men's magazines. It was a struggle, but with time, my writing became a lucrative second income. Then, in the early 2000s, I switched to ghosting nonfiction articles for the electric and electronics industries, as well as doing some DIY stuff online. Today, at the ripe old age of eighty, I'm pretty much hung my writer's hat up.
