In his last novel Haruki Murakami, creates for our delight mysterious Little People. Were they Aliens, in a "UFO" sense? In the sky of 1Q84 there is a second green smallish and rather sinister looking moon, but for the rest we are left guessing. But Asia is also highly spiritual, and the Japanese culture very particular indeed. What do you think? What was the meaning of the Little People?

You are making a lots of very good points Peggy. And thank you for joining the group. McDonald cannot retract now, he can only repeat what he has said or keep quiet. It will be interesting to watch.
The purpose of our group is of course finding good reads on this intriguing topic. But time to time something in this field seems to happen that is worth mentioning. I think today is one of them:You surely have heard of MUFON, the volunteer based organization that goes in and investigates UFO sightings all over the USA. Its Executive Director just acknowledged that he was presented classified documents during a recent meeting with official agencies in Paris, France. The documents in question included classified memos of discussions between French officials and no other than Roscoe Hillenkeotter, the first US Central Intelligence Director. Hillenkeotter was officially confirming to an ally country, many decades ago that UFOs where real and not from earth. I think we will hear much more from McDonald in the coming weeks. It is sure to create some controversy.
Of course it does NOT prove anything. But it is a new and interesting fact to add to the picture. I expect a huge reaction against that disclosure. Are the French, other nations, starting to spill the beans?
