10121 The teacher i talk to was Mr. Watson my american literature back in sophmore year and when i asked his what school does he teach under he said he uses a litttle bit of everything but when i ask him to choose one he said feminist criticism. i aske why and "he said that he thought it was important to know about male and female characterization and the role they have in this world". i also remember that he is feminist crticism because when i had him sophmore year he he ask us about what was the american dream? and he would always tell us to set apart women and men and what each of them would do to reach the amrican dream. Normally men would work in the field and women would be house wives. and he teaches under feiminist crit b/c he like to see the progress of each gender and how they have change throught the years.

10121 I agree with Mark on this one because to me i thought the sister was the one i thought would never give up on Gregor but unfortunatly she did. "He was resolved to push his right up to his sister and tug at her skirt, as an indication to her to come into his room with her violin, because nobody here was repaying her for her playing the way he would repay her (Kafka 45). That right i thought was the some what climax of the story because thats letting me know that the sister had a big transformation and maybe the biggest in the family. everyone has changed but the sister could be the sting. Now i think that everyone in the family are tired of taking care of Gregor maybe the sister was fed up cause everyone gets fed up till some point.

10121 I Agree and disagree with beatris i agree beacuse its true they are being portray as week. Showing that women should clean and just wait till the chosen one come along and marry the sister. i disagree also because in the story kafka actually shows that the sister is strong. Kafka wrote "she was unable to do this on her own she didnt dare to ask her father to help it took a very long time.... (Kafka 33). This actually shows that shes lifting heavy equipment the sister is moving desk furniture etc. that shows power and strenght because that what u need to move thing arounds and that a mans job so i think kafka show both side strong and week

10121 The 44th president of the United States African American we could say were ready for a change. I am honered that i was a part of history when Barack Obama became president. This will be remembered for years to come and i will tell my children so they can tell their children and history will repeat it self. I think Barack Obama will live up to the hype and be a great president anyone who doesn't believe are haters and ignorants. great speaker mentor and thank god his a basketball fan show his an all around man. Again great for history and were all together on this one and lets make a change.

10121 My question is what would happen if Gregor would change back into a human and realizes all the disproportionate of responsibilities between his family. what do you think.

To asnwer Jeremy's Question i think what would motivate gregor is being lonely and invisible in some way. I think i this stry its trying to show you how when you have to take responsibilities you have to go through what ever change even become a bug to accomplish them even if you love ones step on you.

10121 I Have to say that I agree with Jeremy on this one. It looks like Kafka pulls out all this ideas from anywhere but he doesn't these are daily live situtation only difference is he used as bug. if you ask me i think the bug is a methaphor of a way to not fit in society. I believe that Kafka is a modernist because one example is the first line "When Gregor Samsa awoke".... that shows you something out of the ordinary. Now if you ask me about whats going on i think the father and the rest of that family except his mother are trying to make Gregor work so the can live well and buy things that would benefit them.

10121 I agree with armand because its true i feel that no one was forcing Mrs. mallard to feel trapped. i think that she used her husbands death as an excuse to say she felt free, free, free. I would like to ask a question to Mrs. Mallard what would of happened if your husband wouldn't of died havent you heard of divorce it happens all the time. I also think Mrs. Mallard was just trying to take charge and become over powering that she didn't succed and she panicked till the point where she felt a some what feeling of entrapment and excuses.
