The draft of this ebook is complete and we're looking for feedback to help us refine it. If you are interested in checking it out and providing feedback, then you can download a copy of it right here...https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwekT...
At this stage, we're really only looking for feedback on the content, not proofreading or looking for grammar and typos.
If you have any thoughts on what would make this ebook better, then please share that feedback here, or email it to me at dan@bibledude.net.
And if you provide feedback, we'll even drop a big thank you with your name (and blog link) in the credits when we publish it!
Thanks!

Alia wrote: "I read a lot of different genres. I love good memoirs and read a lot of nonfiction books, both Christian and non. I am not a huge fan of sci-fi or fantasy, and I can't stand romance but almost anyt..."I love the thing about reading to your kids! My son LOVES to read. And I've even thought about writing a children's book version of The Unlikely Missionary that features a stuffed animal that he's sent with me on mission trips...
This one started as a challenge from a mentor to explain what I felt the Bible says about leading people in the secular workplace. That resulted in a blog called "management by God." That blog has since been retired, but the conversations are still relevant, and shape how I work with other people. This book project will explore the qualifications for leaders (elders and deacons) that Paul outlined in his letters, and relate those concepts to leaders (executives and managers) in the workplace. This project has a rough manuscript that is currently being reviewed and revised, and we will be launching a Kickstarter campaign shortly to help fund some additional interviews and research that will further shape the book.
What questions would you like to see answered in this book? Are there specific challenges with displaying Christian character in the workplace that you hope this book will address?
Short-term missions teams meaning to do well often (unintentionally) create a culture of handout-missions that works against the kind of development that needs to happen in poverty-stricken areas. In this e-book, Ray (a full-time fellow in Haiti) explores the cultural and theological impacts of short-term missions, and offers solutions for how we can make sure we get it right. At the time of this posting, the book manuscript is still in progress. So what kinds of questions would you hope Ray will answer in this piece? If you were planning a short-term mission trip to a place like Haiti, what would you want to know that would guide you in your team's preparation?
And let us know if you'd be interested in being a part of the editorial review. We'd love to get you a copy of the manuscript to check out and provide feedback that will shape what this book looks like.
Becoming a first-time parent is a pretty eye-opening experience. And it can teach you a lot more about your faith in God than you might expect. In this e-book, BibleDude Editor Crystal Rowe (also of http://www.soulmunchies.com) shares her experiences from the process of becoming a mother, and how it took her Christian walk to a whole new level. At the time we're starting this topic, the e-book is currently being drafted. So in this early phase, what would you like to see in this book from Crystal? What questions would you hope it would answer?
And let us know if you'd like to get a copy of the manuscript once it's ready so that you can provide some editorial feedback!
We've got some REALLY exciting projects coming your way, and like everything else we do at BibleDude.net, we'd love for the community to be a part of shaping all of it!So we'll use this discussion folder to share with you early previews of book projects that are currently under contract, and even give you an opportunity to be a part of the project before it ever comes out.
We may look for people to give feedback on early drafts of the books, and be a part of the launch teams. Who knows, you may be able to influence the final outcome of some of these projects!
And if you have book project ideas you'd like to see, then start a new discussion thread so that we can talk about it... whether it's something you'd like to write, or just an idea for something you think would be awesome. Let us know, and this group can act as an incubator for the project.
Do you have a blog? If you've recently reviewed a BibleDude Press book, we'd love to hear about it! Just post the link to your blog with the title of the book you've reviewed and the date you posted it.We'll even broadcast your blog post through our social media networks.
**Please post a new topic so everyone can see your entry from the discussions pages. Thanks!
Let's get to know one another! We already know you love books, so please share with us anything else about yourself. Here are some questions to get you started:*What topics do you read the most?
*Where do you buy your books? Online or at a physical bookstore?
*Besides reading, what are your interests?
I'll go first...
I run BibleDude.net, which started as my personal blog. Eventually it grew into an exciting community of writers who keep the conversations vibrant and fresh. That's why I started publishing as BibleDude Press; there are just too many great writers out there who will never get noticed by traditional publishers. I read mostly Christian non-fiction, but throw in an occasional novel in order to get some good stories in. I'm a Kindle FREAK, so I get most of my books online, but still love hanging out at my favorite Barnes and Noble with a hot chai in my hand. Besides reading, I'm very focused on social media, particularly for important social causes.
What about you?
