Well, I suppose I should give them a try. lol A lesson in stereotyping...haha...you can't tell if an alien is scary by the name. :D Will prove to be interesting for sure.

I'm Darlene Jones. I've written and published four novels. They are a series, but can be read as stand alone. Aliens take over a woman's life. Trouble is the alien in question is a rookie. Of ..."

Hey Darlene!
Looks like you are catching me with books out on the market! lol Aliens scare the crap out of me. hahaha If I wrote about them, I would always have nightmares. I did, however, start a zombie/apocalyptic story for the NaNoWriMo last year. Maybe I will finish it this year! haha

104767 So very happy to meet all of you! Thank you for taking the time to respond! :D
You are all such great additions to the idea behind this group. I think we will be able to put heads together and find some great works to learn from as well as get help from one another in spreading the word about ourselves. :) Thank you again for your participation.
Blog Book Tours (1 new)
May 29, 2013 08:52AM

104767 I am looking for authors who have blogs to be on my list to participate in some book tours.
If you don't know how they work, here you go:
*We need at least 10-20 blogs to participate at any time.
*These happen usually when a new book is being released (so I won't bug you all the time.)
*You will write your thoughts on the book, post an excerpt, interview the author, post a Q&A about the author...you get the idea.
*You will post the tour button on your scheduled post.
*Tours will go about 2 weeks, but you only need to post once (on your scheduled day)
*Your site gains traffic as people come to check out the new book! For 2 weeks! You are able to turn those people into regular readers!
*I'm not limiting to only authors. Any specific themed site/blog is fine. Like say I publish a book on a family's motivational story. I would need authors, yes. But I also want their target audience as well. Like family blogs. Women's blogs.

So, if you would like to participate, let me know. I'd love to put you on my list. And...there will be gifts for my hosts. :D
Feel free to pass the word along and have them contact me if they would like to jump on board also! :D

It looks like Networked Blogs will send me emails of your posts?? I loved the post on OK and your gardening experience with finding tomato plants. If only my gardening was that easy! lol I hope they produce fruit for you! :P

I really appreciate you making the effort to help us get to know you! :D I commend you for being the first! lol
Congrats on becoming a full time writer! Do you have a blog or a website??
104767 This has been the latest fiction book I have read (Or so close to being done, I feel I can talk about it).
This book was quite enjoyable for me and I loved the spins on the traditional fairytales. Those of you who are real sticklers on period language might have something to say because it is very modern...but I loved it.
I found myself turning the pages as fast as I could go just to find out what the next adventure was going to entail. It is dramatic, suspenseful, hilarious in places, and full of imagination...exactly what a good book should have.
It is amazing to me how Random Jordan can create movements with a minimal use of wording. His characters all come to life with hardly any description at all.
You can find his book on Amazon.com

104767 I am Daisha Marie Korth, I write many different genres, but have only published medieval fiction and a children's mystery. I have a YA fantasy ready for work and wrote a story in an anthology that should come out here soon.
I love to read a lot of different genres, but I think I can peg myself as a historical fiction/fantasy lover above all.
I started my own publishing company last year and am working hard at getting it off the ground. I am dedicated to helping other authors achieve a level of success that makes them feel pride in what they do.
I am a mother of 9! lol I had four of them, blended the rest when I married my husband of 7 years. Now, we have a little granddaughter.
This group was created with the purpose of being able to talk together as readers and even authors about works that you like. What you would recommend to others (besides your own work). This is a place to be the average reader and discuss your worlds together.
I hope to see you around often!
If you would like to do a giveaway, let me know. We can totally work things out. If you have a release coming up, say so! If you would like to be a part of a book tour or a blog hop, let me know! Let's make this a really fun atmosphere here!
