In the introduction to the book, the author describes how she had to navigate an incorrect flagging of insurance claims for her partner as potentially fraudulent, and how this frustrating experience as an educated person with financial reserves could compare to someone without those benefits. Have you ever been in a situation like this due to automated decision making by corporations, local government, or other authorities? How did you navigate this, and how does it shape how you view the topic of the book?
