I mean the gifts didn't really bother me except to make to gag, (well, besides the drawing that Keefe made that Fitz gave to her. I absolutely hated when he did that) My biggest thing was the matchmaking issues. I don't care how many trays of mallowmelt Fitz makes her, it still does not make up for how he reacted to the matchmaking issues. I've said it in another group, and I'll say it here. If Fitz does not love Sophie regardless of her title, he does not love her enough to be her boyfriend.

Yes. I know. But it'd be like them just saying oh well, we don't care, she doesn't have to wear contacts. They literally had a blonde and grey eyed actress who was just a camper, (they did switch it to her for The Sea of Monsters, but still) and they could have had her be Annabeth. And even then, there was still the fact that the actor was way too old.

But how can they be canonically 12 and 17 at the same time??? And Annabeth's hair was a big deal because Annabeth talks about how she was judged as being dumb because of her blonde hair, and stuff like that. It added a lot more depth to her character and they completely stripped it away. It'd be like giving Sophie blue eyes.

Sometimes it does. Like in the PJO movie they gave Annabeth brown hair and blue eyes, and in the books a big part of her character is having blonde hair and grey eyes.

Yeah. so a 20 year old could be cast as Sophie, but IMO that doesn't make Sophie canonically 20.

No yeah I agree but I feel like they should also read the book. Like if someone calls themselves a Percy Jackson fan, loves the movies and refuses to read the books, i would not consider them a fan. Maybe a fan of the movies, sure, but they wouldn't be a Percy Jackson fan. They'd be a Perry Johnson fan.
