I hate to say it, but I hated most of the classic American literature I had to read in high school and college. Give me Austen, Wilde, and Orwell. You can keep your Hawthorne and Steinbeck.

Though, To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books of all time.

I started reading The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey, but then I got to a part that made my eyes leak slightly, and I haven't gone back to it yet.

I'm the exact opposite. I didn't like the books at all, but I love the TV show. Let's be honest. It's because David Boreanaz played Angel.

Just finished The Madness Underneath by Maureen Johnson. It's the sequel to The Name of the Star about the Jack the Ripper copycat. It's the typical second book in a trilogy where not a lot happens, and everything gets set up for the third book. I'm about to start 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil, who wrote Ten (like Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians).
