and done
I never
(view spoiler)[
never never guessed just how many lies Birdie had told! and that they ALL conspired against both Eden and Carter!
and WOW! it was Carter's wife! The one he didn't even value or want! Crazy!! and she would have killed Birdie if she hadn't already been dying!
this had so many twists - a few that required me to ignore things I'm not sure they really would have worked like that - just because I loved the layers of the mystery and how they all played their part! I was hooked from the start
and i absolutely LOVED the audio sound effects!!

Vicki Willis wrote: "Making me second guess not getting it."hahah!!! I loved it but I know I've definitely loved mysteries that the rest of the group didn't. . .

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!
(view spoiler)[
Okay, so Birdie isn't really working for the police?!?! Why did she come here? Did she show up for Mary and Eden and this fraud?
and Wow! Birdie has figured out what Mary did and why! but when did she talk to Mary?!?! Wild! (hide spoiler)]

57 chapters
OMG no way
(view spoiler)[
WOW! all the ways they are lying and hiding things from each other!
when Mary appeared at the center with the daughter, I wondered if that was how Gabriella had seen the views from the house - if maybe the dad and the nurse were taking her!
but why does Mary look so much like Eden??
and wow! Birdie was the one that hit his daughter?!
So did the dad know that when he gave the end date to her grandma? Did he know that when she arrived at his work for her own date? Did he know it when she arrived to be the officer?
and the husband conspiring to make the real Eden look crazy just to shove her off a cliff?!?! and if that body is inconclusive, who is it?
(hide spoiler)]I am so hooked! and I love the sound effects - the tape recorder playing, the sound of running, the waves. It's all so good!

19 chapters
um WHAT!?!
(view spoiler)[ okay so OMG was she right? did they set her up? did her husband kill her?!?!
ack! what is happening?! lol (hide spoiler)]

OMG
(view spoiler)[
sooo what is really going on here??
is it this house? are they conspiring against her? I could see if her daughter hated her that she would lie - I can see her husband and this woman lying
but the gallery? has our Eden never had contact with anyone else? old friends, something?
I feel like the other storyline - the girl coming back and staying in the house - that was given by her grandmother -
How can this be just 6 months before if Eden thinks she's done a bunch of updates on the house?
and WOW! these weird parts inserting about knowing the day you'll die? what does this have to do with the girl who inherited the house OR Eden - other than the woman who owned it before used them?
hmmmmm . . . (hide spoiler)]

OMG I've started the the first chapter (or 2?) HAD SOUND EFFECTS!
I love when audiobooks have them! You could hear her jogging, hear the waves! it was so well done!
2 chapters
(view spoiler)[ OMG can you imagine? showing up to your front door and it's like you don't live there and No one knows you? I can't even imagine! (hide spoiler)]

A village of secrets
It's December 1952, and a dead stranger has been found lodged up the chimney of Holly House in the remote town of Elderby. Is he a simple thief, or a would-be killer? Either way, he wasn't on anyone's Christmas wish list.
A mystery that can't be solved
Inspector Frank Grasby is ordered to investigate. The victim of some unfortunate misunderstandings, he hopes this case will help clear his name. But as is often the way for Grasby, things most certainly don't go according to plan.
A Christmas to remember
Soon blizzards hit the North York Moors, cutting off the village from help, and the local doctor's husband is found murdered. Grasby begins to realise that everyone in Elderby is hiding something - and if he can't uncover the truth soon, the whole country will pay a dreadful price...

Rush’s Recovery promises its wealthy guests the utmost discretion. But when a body is discovered, how long can the center’s secrets stay buried?
Tucked among the pristine beaches and lavish manors of the Hamptons sits Rush’s Recovery, a rehabilitation center where ultra-high net worth clients can seek treatment away from prying eyes and paparazzi. The center’s latest guests have just Lord Edward of Essex, a British aristocrat fighting his black-sheep status and a painful addiction; Amelia Blue Harris, the daughter of a 90s rock legend struggling with an eating disorder; and Florence Bloom, a pop star trying to lay low after her latest tabloid scandal. Each has been promised the highest standard of care, from daily therapy and a live-in chef to acupuncture sessions and a personal care manager, available 24/7. Just so long as they stay in their private cottages and never interact with the center’s other guests.
But these three self-destructive B-listers have no intention of playing by the rules. No amount of cold plunges and talk-therapy can prevent Florence’s illicit flirtation with a staff member, or keep Amelia Blue and Lord Edward from sneaking out to wander the snow-covered grounds at night. Celebrities check in to Rush’s Recovery to protect their privacy, but the darkest secrets may lie in the center’s own history—and not every guest will be checking out alive.

I agree it's a good set up and even though the chapters are long, I don't feel like it's affecting the story
I love all the different ways the story is told! I love the emails and inserted parts of the stories!
(view spoiler)[
I like Low and I agree, I don't think she killed the man but I do think she knows more. I wonder who did.
and ha! I loved the chapter from the mom and her pushing back at her crappy husband.
I wonder why our Main character was willing to be with a guy that wouldn't commit. I'm glad she let him go and she's running this but I wonder if she will keep this book/killer information secret after she knows more.
but I'm curious - can't wait to know more! (hide spoiler)]

okay finally done!!
I think
(view spoiler)[
Trinity gave the money back. . .or at least most/some. I don't know that they knew exactly how much she got. . .so I think they got what she thought they thought she had.
as far as Ronnie, I know I was surprised too! But I think they thought she was becoming a liability because she knew Andrew but not as Andrew but the other name AND she knew Trinity - only separately. And they needed to start shutting site down.
As far as drugging Trinity, I think there was a side part of probably trafficing. I think Layla was trying to drug her and ship her off. These kids are addicts and it's waaaay to easy to make them disappear without anyone looking for them. I was so glad Ronnie helped her but I was shocked by how much Ronnie was embedded in the criminal parts of the business (hide spoiler)]ooh this one was so good!
I was also
(view spoiler)[ really glad that Eli and Alyssa are staying as just friends (hide spoiler)]

oh, I can't wait to click that spoiler! lol
I'm 10 chapters in
(view spoiler)[
I remember how shady I thought the first book was because the cop was so awful - he just did not do his job because of his drinking. I'm liking this sober Eli and his mom a whole lot more!
and this time WE HAVE A SHADY FBI AGENT!?!?! *sigh*
I can't believe he pretty much forced her into prostitution so he could get info.
I have a feel that Ronnie helped stage the scene. I'm really hoping Trinity went on the run and Ronnie helped (hide spoiler)]

I've fallen a bit behind and am not quite ready to start today. . .but hope to start tomorrow !
