Does anyone have The Memory Gardner by Meg Donohue? I finally got back into my account. It published soon. I’m home to try to begin it this week.

Ok. Great. I saw it posted as a giveaway. Made me think of it.

I can't get into my NG. Password issue. I need to figure that out. I haven't requested any in at least a month. I have plenty to get to on my shelf. I have several reviews to add. I am also ready to look around.. :-)

Did we decide we are reading Daughter of Egypt? I thought I requested it bc there was interest in this group. Did I miss it?

I couldn't remember...(view spoiler)[ it seems there was some confusion about if he initiated or she did. Maybe it was by townsfolk. Makes more sense that he did. I thought there was something about her reaching out to him to get her story told and clear her name. She is a force to be reckoned with! A force of nature all on her own. (hide spoiler)]

Alrighty, coffee made. Ready to share some thoughts. I finished about 11:00 pm. I have to say that last 25 % really drew me in. I was on the fence until then thinking at 3 for my rating. In the end I am going with a 4. I have really enjoyed a few Rachel Hawkins books in the past. Great twists. I love how this one ended. Very satisfying. (view spoiler)[ I like the "witches" all took responsibility for what happened to Landon. In their own way. They really were all together in it all. Beginning and end. Loved that the big storm provided a meltdown for everyone and brought it all full circle. August turned out to be quite a villain,. Wow. Didn't see that coming. I kinda liked Lo. I know, unpopular opinion.

I would love to see this made into a movie! I can just visualize so much of it. I have been thru several hurricanes living in Mobile, Al. The descriptions were great. I could picture that fear they must have felt and the sounds the storms make. Fitting ending with the big fight with Lo and August and the women coming together to take him out, tho the storm really did that. I may bump this up to 4.5 for the ending. Superb for me. Chapter 3. The Line is a real place. But it’s called Flora-bama. Right on the Florida Alabama line. Lo is a very interesting character. I’m ready for more to be revealed.

14 %. Just wanna say that tee shirt from the seafood restaurant.. when my family visited me in Mobile my brother in law bought that tee shirt from Wintzells, a popular seafood restaurant here. He wore it to a Mardi Gras parade. Got lots of throws that year!

I’m ready the it! I have read a little. It sounds like a very good book. And I have experienced many of the things in the plot. It’s set very close to me.

Behind. So behind. I have been interested in trying Alice F. I still can’t get into my NG. They prompt me to change the PW. When I sent a link to reset , I click on it in email but when the link appears on the screen on NG it tells me it has expired. I don’t know if one can call NG or not. I need to get it resolved. I have had a lot going on lately and haven’t wanted to take too much time with it. I do have some reviews they would like me to post I imagine. 😉

I’m looking forward to this one since the plot and setting are so familiar to me.
