Tristan wrote: "Psychological Thriller/Horror called Redacted almost finished. Plan is to cause the same reaction to social media as Jaws did for the ocean. I have a background in Profiling and Network Security."Just when you thought it was safe to go back online…

Jurassic Park was the first time I read a disemboweling scene, which made me instantly fall in love with the book. 😂
Dan wrote: "Jaws immediately comes to mind."The book is very different. The movie is much more entertaining.

She is a dino-fanatic, so ..."I’m going to disagree on Jurassic Park. I love the movie, but I prefer the book because it’s darker and gorier and has more dinos in it.
I cried at the shoe scene too! It really upset me. Yeah, definitely check it out. It’s very different, but that’s interesting too.
That’s very interesting, Laura. I tracked down a copy of the book because I loved the movie so much, and I was very disappointed. I didn’t know the author wrote a sequel. Have you read it?

Megan wrote: "I'm working on a Greek mythology book (series???).I'm really excited about it because it's so different from what I've done in the past!"
I love Greek mythology! That sounds great. Which myths will be in the book? 😊
I’m working on a supernatural slasher horror as well as a series of science fantasy space novellas. The horror is still in the planning stage. It’s about a creature called Creepy Crawly who visits kids when they’re being abused. I’m going to start the first draft this week.
The novellas are about a shuttle crew who transfer people between a space station and a planet. I plan to write the first three or four books and then rapid release them.
Megan wrote: "This one isn’t well known, but Netflix just dropped “Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between” and it wasn’t great but it was better than the book 🤣"I’m not aware of that one, but movies being better than the books happens more often than you’d think! 😂
Chad wrote: "Generally, the book is better than the movie, but in rare instances, sometimes the movie is better. Can you list an example?
I'll go first: The Shawshank Redemption"
Good choice! I’ll add Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Apart from my own (haha!) and the classics like Stoker and Le Fanu, there is a very recent novel called The Watchers by AM Shine. I haven't read it yet, (on my TBR), but it has got a lot of good reviews.
Chad wrote: "Which horror book do you like better, Dracula or Frankenstein?"Oooh... controversial!
I have to say Dracula. I prefer the preternatural abilities of the vampires, the analogy of the vampires to carnality and sins of the flesh, the epistolary format, and the fear of loss of self through being turned into a fiend.
I love Frankenstein too.
Hi everyoneMy name is Iseult. I'm Irish. I'm passionate about animals. I love horror, fantasy, science fiction, and all the ways they intersect. Stories help me understand life and people and all the important stuff.
I've a few books published. Some horror and a dark fantasy novella.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
