Wofford wrote: "I have picked a high number of books this year, a heavy goal to reach of 100 books. Some of these will be books I listen to by audio books. My job is a mundane type of job where I can zone out and ..."Yeah, 100 books is a high goal! I was proud of myself for reading 25 in one year once haha.
Indie authors, don't forget to share your work here! If you feel weird about self-promotion, don't hesitate to reach out and I will share your books for you!
I've got a question for those of you who read horror or fantasy. Have you come across any books in both genres? Any high fantasy horror books out there?
A place to talk about Goodreads' 2023 reading challenge. Are you participating this year? How many books do you plan to read? How many have you read so far? Let us know!
Playing anything you want to chat about? Let's talk about it here. My wife and I just started playing A Way Out over the weekend and I think we're hooked. For those that don't know, it's a 2 player co-op only. No single player. You're two prison inmates working together to try and escape prison and take down this guy named Harvey who hurt you both. It's a really fun game and the gameplay is a lot of fun. Great to play couch co-op or online with a friend.
Scott wrote: "Hello! My name is Scott Donnelly. I am an indie author as well as reader. I don't have a favorite indie author or book, but I have enjoyed a ton of them. I think indie authors are vastly underrated..."Hey, Scott! So glad to have you here. I've got a bookshelf listed with some of your books already and I will be adding the rest shortly. Great to have you here. And I agree. Indie authors are vastly underrated and there are so many excellent writers out there in the indie world. I'm hoping this community will help them find more readers!
Scott wrote: "Currently watching Prisoners (from 2013). Just watched Sick recently too. Really looking forward to Scream VI!"Prisoners was so good! 2013, huh? Holy crap time flew didn't it. I remember seeing it in theaters!

Hello, Molly! Nice to meet you. I have added your books to our bookshelf. Happy to have you here.
Let's talk about movies! What have you watched recently that you just want others to know about or just plain want to talk about? Share it here. I recently watched a horror movie called Smile and it was very good. I enjoyed it. Very creepy and well done. Have you seen it?
Are you watching anything new that you want to recommend? Share it here! Currently, my wife and I are watching The Last of Us. If you were a fan of the games, you'll love the show. And if you love great horror shows, you'll love it too!
I have already included many of my favorite indie authors in our group bookshelf. So please, check them out! But here's a list of my favorites. Roxie Prince
Wofford Lee Jones
Scott Donnelly
Bryce Gibson
I am currently reading Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline.
Gotta say, I am unfortunately not impressed so far with this book. Ready Player One was such a fun story, that I was certain I would like the sequel. But I feel like this book took forever to get to the main plot of the story and spent nearly 50% discussing why Wade's life was so great and yet miserable after becoming a billionaire. I'm hoping it gets better near the end.
