Jesse’s comments from the Abydos stable group.

I thought this form was dead.

Jennifer and Kevin dismount and put their horses back in their stalls.

Jennifer and Kevin ride back, at a walk, and dismount when they reach the stable.

Jewel sped up a little big, and Mickey kept an even pace.

Jennifer and Kevin signal their horses to speed up, until they match Finster's pace.

"Ok" Kevin exclaimed, excitedly. "You up for it Old Man?" he asked Mickey. Mickey appeared to be. He was in good shape for his age and usually enjoyed a good gallop.
"Fine with me" Jennifer said. "Let's go."

"Do you like it here?" Jennifer asked.

"Yeah" Jennifer replied. "This is our second day here." She looked at Kevin and he knew that she wanted him to speak up more. "So..." Kevin asked, "how long have you two been riding here?"

"Yeah it's great" she replies. Kevin nods in agreement, shyly.

Jennifer, Jewel, Kevin, and Mickey road along the trail and ran into Sasha, Finster, Elli and Fall. "Oh, hello" Jennifer greeted.

Micky grazed in the paddock for a little while and then he laid down in the sun to rest. Jewel got board and started trotting around him in circles, which was really annoying because he was trying to take a nap and he couldn't with her bothering him. Luckily another horse soon arrived and distracted Jewel.

Jennifer and Kevin decided to go and check out the trails. They saddled up Micky and Jewel and road threw the woods.

Eventually, someone told Jennifer where to put the horses. Once they turned their horses out, Jennifer and Kevin went into the stable to prepare their stalls.

While Jewel was acting up and his mom was trying to clam her down, Kevin looked around. This place was a lot bigger then their previous stable. "Um... excuse me" Jennifer called, to no one in particular, once she got Jewel calmed down.

Ok. That I can understand. I got confused because it says nineteen.

I meant the last one.

"If you are under the age of 19 you are going to need someone to ride with you understand?"

I read a couple of the Chestnut Hill books. I used to read a lot of Saddle Club and Pony Pals, but I outgrew them. I have never read Riding Lessons, but it sounds interesting. Does anybody else like the Black Stallion series?

As soon as they arrive, Jennifer and Kevin get out of their truck and start unloading the horses. "Hey Old Man" Kevin greets Mickey. "We're here."
Kevin leads Mickey out of the trailer, while his mom leads Jewel out. "We should turn them out into the paddock" she suggest, "but I'm not sure which paddocks we're allowed to use."
