I'll admit I read the first 50 pages and haven't touched it since... oops! I just can't seem to bring myself to read this one!

So Vanity Fair won by 1 vote narrowly beating out Bleak House. I won't be starting this for a couple of days but looking forward to finally clearing this one off my shelf.

It's looking like The Secret History by Donna Tartt will be our next author. Hopefully this contemporary read goes better than our last one ;) I've already read this so I might not reread it (depending on how I feel) but I look forward to talking with you all about it!

I just finished this last night and I'm still in shock. Definitely a new favourite. Ugh just an amazing and absorbing plot. I want to watch the film now too! Twitter live tweet while watching simultaneously?

So we're reading Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier this month. Has anyone started yet? I have to wait until after I write my paper this weekend :(

It's looking like we'll be reading The Luminaries for our next read. I'm excited for this one as it's been sitting on my shelf for a couple years and it's our first contemporary read!

Just finished this today. Still processing my thoughts about it.

Just got past the halfway point. I'm hoping to finish this before Christmas. I think I like Levin and Kitty's stories much better than Anna and Vronsky's. Dotty is by far my favourite character.

Was doing well at the beginning of the month but hit a wall with the end of term slump. Finally picked it back up today and now I'm 1/4th of the way through it. How's everyone else doing?

I don't think we need to worry about translation. I honestly don't know much about Russian translators. I'm debating between my Clothbound penguin edition or the free kindle edition…
