141063 Ok so this book was amazing. I like Molly Mcadams I have read one of her books a while ago and forgot about how good of a writer she was. And to read this book was like a breath of fresh air from the love sappy romance novels I normally read. I said before that I was going to try to read all the books under Kimany Romance. But I need to venture to something different. I like to read but the books were getting predictable and i hate predictable books. This book was far from that. The only thing that through me for a loop in this book was the fact that the guy was a cop but had a lip ring...how the heck does that work lol. I have never known a cop to be able to work with a lip ring. But other than that it was great, I love a happy ending and it was happy. And her getting pregnant with twins....im jealous lol.

141063 I like this book, took me the normal 5 days to read the book. I loved the characters and the different plot to the story. I have come to notice that some of the stories I read are becoming more and more predictable so I have been trying to switch up the Authors some. I have never read a book by Angie Daniels and I would read another.

141063 I attempted to finish the book series of Hopewell General. There is a total of 4 books, and I like all of them except for this one. I didn't like the way this author wrote her story. She had one of the characters wrong from the other books, she called him by the wrong name which was strange because she had referenced him correctly on the whole book except when she was talking about his story. The only logical reason for this was maybe she wrote her story first. But anyways, i also didn't like the way she wrote the book at all. The sex scenes she didnt go into at all. She would just say... "He hugged her and started to kiss and they began to make love well into the night"... Like what in the world I am an adult I need details. And the conversations between the characters where all so short and dry, and she kept repeating the same phrase with them constantly saying "how did i deserve someone like you" and something sappy. That's a great word for it. This was a sappy book. Lol, I didnt even finish this book. I couldn't, it was truly a waste of my time. I will not read another one of her books.
Book 5 (1 new)

141063 So I fell in love with this book as well. It really almost brought me to tears with the reaction Thomas and Tia had when they told her son that Thomas was the father. And when the son cried and asked him where has he been. It was a tear jerker. The book was funny with the reactions they would have when Jalen said something smart. It reminded me of my daughter and the smart remarks that she would say. So I could relate to this book as well. Ann Christopher is a great writer and did very well with the details in this book. It took me about a week to read this book. So that means it was good lol.

141063 So I forgot what day I started this book. But it took maybe about a week to finish. I started this book a few years ago and never finished it. And I kind sort of see why. Although the book was good and was by one of my favorite author it was a little predictable. I liked that they had to keep their relationship a secret at first and when something happened to her he was willing to risk it all to make sure she was ok. Not caring about loosing his job or anything. In the end he choose a different position so that he could be with her. Which was a smart move on his end.

The next book to the series is by Ann Christopher who I like as and author. But we will see how this story ends up. I like it so far.
Book 3 (1 new)

141063 Ok, so I started this book on Saturday I believe. And I finished it today on Wednesday. Now I know most people can finish reading a book in like 2 days. But working full time, going to school full time....and being a mother...well I don't really have time to finish in 2 days.

But I loved this book. It was a great story line, had some funny parts and had a shocker almost towards the end. I loved that fact that she had Spanish in it. Although I don't speak Spanish having the insert at the beginning of the book that defined the words helped a lot. I almost felt like I was watching Grey's Anatomy which is one of my favorite TV shows.

Once I finished reading this book I then realized that this book was almost a series and has 3 other books that go with it. But the 3 other books have different authors. And they are all published by Kimani Romance so I will still stay on task with trying to read all the books from that company.

Next one I'm reading is "In the Doctor's Bed by Brenda Jackson". Who by the way is another one of my favorite author.
I guess I will add Maureen Smith to that list.

141063 So this book I attempted to read...But I couldn't really get into it because it was like the author would start talking about something else with out any explanation of what was actually going on. Like for instance at one point of the book she had randomly started talking about some people that were walking across the street and a car slamming on breaks coming to a halt...

Like can you tell me what happened before like explain that she was in a taxi cab and the driver slammed on breaks. But that wasn't the first instance, the first one was, she was talking about Shay going on a vacation and then she randomly ended up in a restaurant talking to her friend and her ex showed up with his new fiance. I just couldn't get into it. So i on to the next book. Which is another kimani Romance author. Lets see how this one goes.
