I'm reading Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys and it's about Lithuanians getting taken by the USSR and getting taken into Russia to be put to work. Just like in Night when they were put into a forced labor camp for the War. The main character Lina later in the book falls in with a boy on the train named Andrius which can be seem as a rescuer to them. Lina and her family were torn apart like the Jews were from there home. They were also put in trucks and train cars to get taken to the camps and travel around Siberia and the Arctic circle. Also a character named Mr. Stalas who later was found to be Jewish. I'm only about half way through the book at page 213
I still think that Tom is the most dangerous person in the book. He pretty much got Gatsby killed because of his cheating. Then George also killed himself after he killed Gatsby. So Tom was pretty much the cause of to people getting killed in this book. He has the power to change peoples mind to, like how he did with Daisy when she tried to break it off with him, and saying pretty much she could never leave him for Gatsby.
I found some on my lens theory which was psycho-analysis, but I really couldn't find any myself, but only got some when you pointed them out. I think the easiest one to do would be feminism. Because through out the book they show things about Daisy's independence. And how girls were treated back in the 1920s. A quote I can remember from the top of my head is when Daisy said that the only thing a girl can be in this world is a silly little fool.
I think one of the more dangerous character so far would be Tom. He drags Nick along to the apartment in New York I think to get on his good side. To make sure he won't say something to Daisy, even though she does already know about the affair. Nick also said earlier that he has a cruel body, maybe meaning that he is dangerous and he could hurt someone if he tried.
