Right now I am reading Four Perfect Pebbles for my companion book. I am currently on page 57 of 127. My book is about a family taken over by the realization that they are not free anymore. Fist their husband/father was taken away, then their car, at last they were taken away. The boys were separated from the girls. I can see a lot of things that are just a like in Night and Four Perfect Pebbles, for example they're both in work camps, they're restricted from food, they were once a family with a smile on all their faces and toys to play with. The little girl in my book is just like the boy in Night. She has faith that they will get out and live. She never gives up even when her brother thinks she is just a little bit crazy. She makes a game everyday she has to find matching pebbles. Each one resembling a member of her family, if she cant find 4 of the same she knows that day is not a good outcome. It reminds me of when Eli had to have surgery and they were told if they stayed at the hospital they'd be dead but Eli didn't loose faith so he walked on his foot. Neither of them would give up. Even if it was JUST looking for pebbles.
I now think its Daisy. Daisy has killed Myrtle, left Gatsby to die, lied, and left everyone questioning what happened. She broke Gatsbys heart but didn't care because she knew he was gonna get caught for what she did.
I think Tom. he doesn't care who he hurts to get what he wants. he will do anything he can to get exactly what he wants. He also doesn't seem to care how he hurts them, physically, or mentally. Nothing but him really matters to him if it doesn't involve him.
