154267 Repent at Leisure won third prize in the 2016 Drunken Druid Awards! https://www.drunkendruidawards.com/blog

The Drunken Druid Awards consist of a Gold (1st Place), Silver (2nd Place) & Bronze (3rd Place) literary prize awarded each year for the best original full-length fictional novel. This peer-reviewed Book Award was established in 2013 to bring increased recognition to a deserving title published by independent or established authors. Along with a cash prize and a strictly limited edition seal, the winning book is remembered by its extraordinary quality of writing and its unique ability to break the mould as a one of a kind novel. Titles are nominated on the basis of 'high literary merit' of creative authors. We encompass all fictional genres into one, making The Drunken Druid Award unique in its coverage of international fiction. The judges are totally independent and make their choices purely on their own judgement of the titles merits against the criteria. It is also a mark of distinction for authors to be selected for inclusion in the short-list.
154267 I've written 2 other thrillers, A House Without Windows and For the Sake of a Child. A House Without Windows has won a New Apple Book Award and a Readers Favorite Gold Award, and continues to be my best selling book. Here's a 5 star review from Thom Stark:

Definitely not for kids, but highly recommended, indeed.

Devastating, creepy, and deeply affecting, Stevie Turner's A House Without Windows is many things: among them are several different, disturbing love stories, a tale of abduction, imprisonment, and menace, a narrative of a woman clinging to hope in the face of utter despair, and a portrait of the claustrophobic world of a victimized child and the tormented adult she becomes . The multiple, shifting narrators effectively portray the disorienting madness of Edwin Evans and the effects of his psychotic actions on every victim his insanity engulfs.

Definitely not for kids, but highly recommended, indeed.

"I absolutely loved this book so much so that i read it all in one sitting! Of course it had nothing to do with it being set in my native Scotland lol, I found that the characters were very well written and they developed as the story progressed, they were down to earth and believable while at times they were altogether sinister but you end the tale feeling like the events could have actually happened to someone you know.

This story takes us on a tour of the world beginning in Scotland and visiting Spain, England and Australia before returning to Scotland, and I found the author had researched very well all the place which you will visit in this book, as well as great use of slang fitting the place you are in at that particular time in the novel .

Although I would categorise this story as a tale of love and romance it would also fit into either the crime drama or thriller genre just as well.

I am not going to put any spoilers in this review as I want the reader to experience it the way I did by turning the pages to find out what happens next in Paul and Anita's lives."

154267 I am pleased to inform readers that my latest women's fiction book Repent at Leisure has just been published by Creativia. Last week I was informed that it's made the shortlist of the Escalator Writing Competition.

The story is told from 2 perspectives, that of Paul McAdam and his fiancée/future wife Anita Fairfax.

Paul McAdam wakes up with a strange girl in his bed, with no idea who she is or where she came from.

Cat Taylor worms her way into Paul’s life, eventually moving into his flat. The arrangement suits Paul quite well until he meets Anita Fairfax, the love of his life and the girl he wishes to marry. Cat has to go, but Paul finds that she is not interested in moving out.

When Cat is found dead in Paul’s flat, he's the #1 suspect, even though there's not a shred of evidence. Anita and Paul are happily married, but she soon begins to wonder whether her new husband could have been Cat’s killer all along...

154267 Hi all, I write mostly women's fiction focusing on family relationships which sometimes contains dark humour, although I have written one suspense/thriller A House Without Windows which won a New Apple Book Award in 2014 and a Readers' Favorite Gold Award in 2015.

My books contain adult content. My novels with an offbeat humour are No Sex Please, I'm Menopausal! and The Pilates Class. I love writing books about family relationships too, which you can check out by clicking on The Daughter-in-law Syndrome and The Donor.

I also tend to write about subjects that others don't often cover, such as my novel about porn addiction The Porn Detective and For the Sake of a Child, which touches on child abuse.

If you like short stories/novellas, you might like to check out The Noise Effect and Lily: A Short Story.

I have recently set up a women's fiction book club on Goodreads, which so far has 13 members https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...

I have many complimentary codes to give away for my audio books, so stick around and enjoy the fair! Please contact me if you would like a free audio book from any one of these listed on my page of the Audible.co.uk website: http://www.audible.co.uk/search/ref=a...
