The roleplay takes place before any of the events in the series occur, and before even Dumbledore. There's nothing canon in this rp.

Yes, but they cannot be students. Teachers definitely can be ones though.

I think the second idea is pretty interesting. Maybe after the dad died, she tried to do it all on her own but ended up asking for Luke's help and as time went on she didn't know how to keep going without using his magic?

Just remember through all of this that magic is not allowed for students outside of school.
