Page 156 Story line is progressing as expected. Reached the point where some of the story is familiar and echoes other urban fantasy plots and tropes. Writing fluctuates between being non descriptive and overly descriptive, so far it seems to balance each other out well.
I enjoy Amy as a character, she embodies the snarky self doubting teenager we all are at one point or another in our lives.
On page 78 (starting chapter eight) So far this is hilarious in a really dark way. I like that Paige has taken it and twisted the concept so that it's clearly recognizable, makes references to both movie and book, and takes it from a semi-meta perspective.
That being said, as much as I've enjoyed the opening to the book and the way the information is spread out and shared (little to no info dumping) I can't help but feel that maybe starting in the middle of the story instead of the beginning would have helped a lot. Much like how The Wrath and The Dawn starts in the middle and provides background later. That aside enjoying it so far
