205699 It's been ages since I've found a freebie but today I did; Cousin Prudence by Sarah Waldock uses characters from Emma, following the events of that book. It's free in the UK, and hopefully elsewhere, but please check price before buying. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CH33ZDC/

205699 Also, Susan Kaye's duology telling Persuasion from Captain Wentworth's point of view is reduced. The books are called None But You and For You Alone. They have dropped to less than half price in the UK and I believe they are reduced in the US too.

205699 I've read that one Eliza, it's very good. I managed to get it at a knockdown price in paperback a few years ago :)

205699 The Vanity and Pride Press ladies have a Thanksgiving promotion on: quite a lot of Cat Gardiner and Pamela Lynne's kindle books are 99p/99c, so if you've been waiting to get their books now night be a good time.

205699 I'm getting to that point with the app! I find Goodreads website a bit fiddly on the phone, but the lack of functionality and crashing of the app is grating!

205699 I quite often keep up to date with things when I'm out and about, so if I'm at the photocopier in work, waiting to pick up my kids, on my lunch break in work, that sort of thing, so an app is useful. I find a lot of apps have pretty much as much functionality as a website, but Goodreads is noticeably worse in app form :(

205699 I have Elizabeth Adams dropping by today with an excerpt of the re-released Green Card, and she's offering a fantastic e-book giveaway of all five of her books! http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....

205699 The app is mostly pretty good but some of the things it doesn't allow are tiresome! For example, I find it hard to link a giveaway, or to switch to a different edition of a book. Also, if you want to add a friend I don't think it gives you the option to answer whatever question they've set.

205699 I have the honour of appearing on Austen Variations today as part of their Interview with a Janeite feature. I got to put some questions to Caitlin Williams and she is giving away a paperback of Ardently. Please drop by! http://austenvariations.com/novembers...

205699 In other news, I see that Robin Helm, Laura Hile, Wendi Sotis and Barbara Cornthwaite have dropped prices of their other books, so if you were waiting for one of their titles, now might be the chance to snaffle it.

I'm pretty sure it's free in the US: https://www.amazon.com/Could-Write-Bo...

Not sure about other countries. Worth a go though!

205699 We add our 'two penn'orth' rather than our two cents, Debbie. It sounds very Victorian, doesn't it!
