It's the last day to enter the giveaway for an ebook of Regina Jeffers' new book, Pride, Prejudice and a Shakespearean Scholar http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
It's been ages since I've found a freebie but today I did; Cousin Prudence by Sarah Waldock uses characters from Emma, following the events of that book. It's free in the UK, and hopefully elsewhere, but please check price before buying. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CH33ZDC/
Also, Susan Kaye's duology telling Persuasion from Captain Wentworth's point of view is reduced. The books are called None But You and For You Alone. They have dropped to less than half price in the UK and I believe they are reduced in the US too.
The blog tour for modern P&P All the Things I Know by Audrey Ryan stops by at Babblings of a Bookworm today. Please drop in :) http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
Melanie Stanford is visiting Babblings of a Bookworm today with a post about her new book, Collide, which is a modernised version of Mrs Gaskell's North and South. Please drop by! http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
I've read that one Eliza, it's very good. I managed to get it at a knockdown price in paperback a few years ago :)
The Vanity and Pride Press ladies have a Thanksgiving promotion on: quite a lot of Cat Gardiner and Pamela Lynne's kindle books are 99p/99c, so if you've been waiting to get their books now night be a good time.
The blog tour for the 'Dangerous to Know: Jane Austen's Rakes and Gentlemen Rogues' anthology stops by at Babblings of a Bookworm, with an excerpt from Joana Starnes' story. Please join me to enjoy this, and take the opportunity to enter the fantastic giveaway that accompanies the tour! http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
I'm getting to that point with the app! I find Goodreads website a bit fiddly on the phone, but the lack of functionality and crashing of the app is grating!
I quite often keep up to date with things when I'm out and about, so if I'm at the photocopier in work, waiting to pick up my kids, on my lunch break in work, that sort of thing, so an app is useful. I find a lot of apps have pretty much as much functionality as a website, but Goodreads is noticeably worse in app form :(
I have Elizabeth Adams dropping by today with an excerpt of the re-released Green Card, and she's offering a fantastic e-book giveaway of all five of her books! http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
The app is mostly pretty good but some of the things it doesn't allow are tiresome! For example, I find it hard to link a giveaway, or to switch to a different edition of a book. Also, if you want to add a friend I don't think it gives you the option to answer whatever question they've set.
I have the honour of appearing on Austen Variations today as part of their Interview with a Janeite feature. I got to put some questions to Caitlin Williams and she is giving away a paperback of Ardently. Please drop by! http://austenvariations.com/novembers...
In other news, I see that Robin Helm, Laura Hile, Wendi Sotis and Barbara Cornthwaite have dropped prices of their other books, so if you were waiting for one of their titles, now might be the chance to snaffle it.
We're getting into the Christmas spirit over at Babblings of a Bookworm, with A Very Austen Christmas, an anthology by Robin Helm, Laura Hile, Wendi Sotis and Barbara Cornthwaite. There's an ebook to be won too: http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
For UK readers, there's a Goodreads giveaway for Pride and Prejudice and Mistletoe https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...
Also, Karen M Cox's 1970's-set Emma, I Could Write a Book is free for the next couple of days. It's free in the UK: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Could-Write-...
I'm pretty sure it's free in the US: https://www.amazon.com/Could-Write-Bo...
Not sure about other countries. Worth a go though!
Today I'm welcoming Kara Louise with an excerpt of her new book, Chance and Circumstance, and a chance to win. Please drop by!: http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
Please drop by and see my plans for November. I hope you'll join me at Babblings of a Bookworm for these posts :) http://babblingsofabookworm.blogspot....
