The Silent Corner Havent read Koontz in a while. Not particularly drawn to this character or plot. 2.5/5
#114 The Last Olympian
Maybe cos I just wasn't as into the series 5 books in, but this just seemed to drag on then wrap up really quickly. 2.5/5

Dark Matter Up late last night finishing one, and a lazy morning today to start and finish this one. While I did notice an abundance of short sentences (must have been a lot to get my attention), it was easily read and kept me interested. Have you ever noticed how some books are good, but they just take a little more effort to read? This one flowed quickly for me. May have to look up his other books - tho sometimes that can be a bad idea. We'll see. 4/5

Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City I know, I know... I said I was over heavy topics but read this next. Came up on the available list at the library or I wouldn't have chosen it. BUT an important read about poverty and housing and the how far the effects reach. The landlords aren't sympathetic, but the tenants play the system, too. 4/5

I did like it, butI'm so over the heavy topics I seem to be running into lately. 3.5/5

The Boy on the Bridge This is how I like sequels.... enough to tie it to the first book, but still obviously its own story. I may have to reread the first book as some of the timeline didn't match for me, but that's a small quibble. 4/5
#104 The Battle of the Labyrinth
Jeez, it's taking me forever to even finish the light reading... :/ 3.5/ 5

The Roanoke Girls More tough material. Why has this theme started popping up more, or is it just me? 3.5/5

The Titan's Curse Brain break! Needed something quick and easy. Not liking this one as much... almost feels like filler until the next book. The plot was moved forward, but it all happened at the end of the book. 3/ 5
#100 The Queen of the Tearling
So I'm *really* late on picking this one up. A little miffed by all the "we know, but we're not going to tell you" which seems to make things unnecessarily difficult at times. Also, the "I'm so plain" refrain from Kelsea seemed to get overused, especially when she was judging others for trying to look younger. Overall, enjoyed it and will be picking up the 2nd book in the trilogy. 3.5/ 5

Archangel's Viper Guilty pleasure series. Man, do I dislike this cover - feels like 70s much? Story was good, but not up to pevious series standards. 3/5
