I know another reader who have read it, but rated it 5 stars, saying she was mind blown. Makes me very hopeful and excited for Burned. =)

It's been a little painless this time around since I wasn't too crazy about Iced, but when it was waiting on Shadowfever, that wait killed me and some were waiting even longer than me, couple years for that one. But I can't believe it's actually out next week. =))

maybe they're holding off on the Dani ones, b/c they're too spoiler-ish. With them not sharing barely any for her, makes me wonder, what's going on with Dani now.
$12? isn't that what most HB books are anyway. IT's like $17, right now and that's a pain for me. I"m getting for kindle first and wait to see if hardback price goes down later. Plus my UPS guy always delivers like 8pm and I need the book in the morning on the 20th.

I totally agree with your Little Feather, there is no rebound from Fever for me. It remains to be my all-time ultimate favorite. But my second favorite which did really get me going again was the Kate Daniels Series!

I look at it as it's own series. like 6,7,8 are basically Dani's books and are like it's own. Spin off or whatever and 9,10 sort of revert back to the original fever series where it is Barrons and Mac again, so maybe those might have fever in the title, I dunno.
ICED Excerpt 4!Ryodan doesn’t like Mac. He never has. She got between him and his best boy-bud. I give him a look. “I’ll tell you a secret, Ryodan. You mess with her, Barrons’ll kill you.” I drag a finger across my neck. “Just like that. You aren’t all that. Barrons’ll stomp your ass, hand’s down.”
He smiles faintly. “I’ll be damned. You have a crush on Barrons.”
“I do not have a crush—“
“You do, too. It’s all over your face. Anybody could see it.”
“Sometimes, boss, you’re just wrong.”
“I’m never wrong. You might as well take out a billboard. ‘Dani O’Malley thinks Jericho Barrons is hot.’ My offer to teach you is still open. Save you from future embarrassment. If I can see it on your face, he can, too. ”
“He never figured it out before,” I grumble then realize I just admitted it. Ryodan has a tricky way of wording things that makes you say things you didn’t mean to say. “Maybe I’ll ask Barrons to teach me,” I mutter and turn away from the stairs, heading for his office. I run smack into his chest. “Dude, move. Trying to get somewhere here.”
“No one but me is ever going to teach you, Dani.”
He touches me before I see it coming, has his hand under my chin, turning my face up. My shiver is instant and uncontrollable.
“That’s non-negotiable. You signed a contract with me that grants exclusivity. You won’t like it if you try to break it.”

graphic novels for books I like is a no-no for me! I think the characters are drawn horribly, I"m not even gonna waste me time, besides I like to imagine in my head how they look.

I start to snicker. His sense of humor sneaks up on you. Then I remember who’s talking and bite it off.

“I ain’t asking you for nothing. And you might be faster and stronger. For now. No way you’re smarter.”
“Your choice. But turn around because you’re not leaving. It’s night, and you know what that means.”
“Like, it’s dark?”
“You’re with me until dawn.”
“Why dawn? You a vamp or a zombie or something that can’t stand the light?”
He freeze-frames away, moves in on the scene. “I like sex for breakfast, kid. I eat early and often.”
