That's a tough question. I haven't read "The Dispossessed" yet.Despite some part where it didn't hold up to real technology, I did enjoy the story in "Doomsday Book." I felt for the characters more in this book than I did in the others.
"Paladin of Souls" was also really good. It was kind of slow having to get through "The Curse of Chalion" first, but the stories themselves were both really good.
And going back to the very first of these book I read, I really liked "The Windup Girl". If for no other reason, then to be introduced to Paolo Bacigalupi.

Thanks, Kristin. I hadn't noticed that when I added them to the list. Guess the 20 year gap in release threw me off.
Kristin wrote: "OK, I finished it. Is anyone going to discuss it?"I've read it too. I haven't posted anything since we've been talking offline, kind of fulfilled my needs in terms of discussing the book.
What'd you think of the ending? I love how open it is for the story to continue.
I like the idea, Joe. I'll get around to adding those threads sometime soon. Unless someone else is feeling super motivated and wants to do it. Otherwise, probably by this weekend
I am going to add a start date for each book every two weeks. Obviously these aren't official, since you can read at your own pace, but at least this way they will show up in the "Upcoming Books" list.
Kristin wrote: "I don't think they should be added to the list. But my comments will assume that you've read book 1."I agree with Kristin. Since the official goal is to do the Hugo/Nebula winners, then we just have those in the group listing.

Joe, you're welcome. Thanks for coming up with the idea!
I have added all of the books to the "To Read" list. Joe, I know you suggested maybe starting with the newest and working backward. I like this, except for the two books by Orson Scott Card. I suggest we switch those around, since "Speaker For The Dead" is a sequel to "Ender's Game."Other than that, I did notice that one or two of the books are the second in a series, so when we get closer to those, I might check out the first in the series. Might be helpful to read that one first.
And there are several others that are the first in a series, so this might open up some new series for your interests!
Overall, I'm really looking forward to reading these, and welcome to anyone else who ends up joining!
