Terry Fallis"The Best Laid Plans" is a book by well known Canadian Author Terry Fallis. The Best Laid Plans was his first novel which he had a hard time publishing, but after a while he had found a publisher who was interested. The book is about someone who is in politics but wants to leave it because he does not like what he is doing. It shows how someone who is a Liberal struggles against the conservatives who also include his family. The book has won many awards to make it a success. It has won the Stephen Leacock award for humor and was featured on Canada reads. I chose this book because I was intrigued by it's subject. The book explores What happens behind the curtain in Parliament when the public is not looking and how not everybody is how they seem when they are in public to just get votes. I have an interest in politics so I thought it would be a good choice. While researching this book I found this this book generally had good reviews. The book also won the 2011 edition of Canada reads which means that it has to be good if people are recommending every Canadian to read this book. I look forward to reading and enjoying this book.
