What or who inspires you to write?

C.S. Lewis and George MacDonald are both among my favorites. I also like Ray Bradbury, Dean Koontz, Thomas Hardy, Louis Lamour, and many others. It depends a great deal on my mood.

I love a good suspense novel, too, especially if it's the white knuckle ride type of story.

I love fantasy, too. I like it so much that I've written two fantasy novels.
I hope you try your hand at fantasy. It's so much fun creating and ruling over entire worlds!

You are a poet, so it's no wonder you enjoy the poetic quality of language. How's your latest book doing?

You and I seem to be on the same page, Shawn. I enjoy fantasy writing for all the same reasons you have mentioned.

When it comes to reading material, I devour most anything. Like you, I'm not into romance novels. I find them boring for the most part, but woven into other genres a little romance adds to the story.
