72713 I keep forgetting about this challenge. :/ Not good! I'm going to need to step it up if I'm going to hit all the states this year. Since my last update, I've read 3 for the challenge: Jaws for New York, Deadlocked for Louisiana, and Delirium for Maine. Check out my profile for reviews! :)

72713 Thanks, Jayme!

That's a good idea, Jane-Mary. I've read Cider House Rules, but I've been wanting to read more by Irving for years now. I should just get to it, I suppose. :)

72713 I just read Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple for Washington. I loved it! If you're still looking for a Washington book, I highly recommend it! I'm from Seattle, and this is the best book I've read set in the area (in my opinion, of course). You can see my review here!

72713 It's been a slow start for me so far - I seem to be just reading books set either in a non-specific setting or internationally.

I did make it to California, though! Last month I read The Age of Miracles, and you can read my review here.

72713 Forgot to post here earlier, but last month I finished The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker for California. Review here.

72713 I get a lot of books from the library, too, so some of my read order will end up bein, "oops, I have to return this one in a few days, I'd better read it now" situations. Other than that, I think I'll just read in whatever order I feel like. I'm still not even quite done making out a potential reading list. I might just pick out books and see if they fit into a state once I've finished reading. I usually read around 100 books a year, so even if a book fits nowhere, I don't think I'll losing time or anything.

72713 Awesome! I just got the audiobook from the library, I'll have to see if I can hold onto it until the new year!

72713 Hello! My name is Rachel. I love to make lists and set challenges for myself for motivation, so this seems like a great goal for next year!

What are your guys' favorite genre of books? I'll read practically anything, and tend to read in phases: a lot of sci fi, then a lot of mystery, then a block of YA, then a bunch of manga, etc. I've always read a lot of YA, and this past year, have read a lot of the new YA distopias. I'm also a fan of graphic novels, particularly shojo manga. My favorite thing to listen to while driving is nonfiction, particularly memoirs read by their author.
