In trying to reconcile this list, I realized that I counted 2 books for Georgia, and I missed The Boxcar Children which I will count for Connecticut, as #41.Now I just have to remember that this list will have to end with on number 51.
#39 The Weight of Blood for Missouri. Good backwoods mystery. Remind me never to get stuck up in some small town in the mountains.
#38 A Wicked Snow in Oregon. Hmmm, I've read much better mystery/crime books, but it was entertaining.
#38 Snapper set in Indiana. It was a pleasant soothing book, but a bit slow for an audio book. If I ever come across a written version of it (for cheap or free), I may re-read it and see if it's better.
#38 Heroes Are My Weakness. While this could have been just a chick-lit read, I enjoyed the dark mysterious background to it. Set in an island off Maine.
#37 The Home Place, great family and mystery book set in Montana. Nothing better than to cool me down during an Arizona summer than reading about the winter in Montana.

Martha, I'm still debating whether I liked it or not. I read the whole thing but it left me disappointed and angry at the characters.
#36 In the Sanctuary of Outcasts in Louisiana. Since I was a little girl I've been horrified by the way that sick people are treated around the world, specially those with diseases like Hansen's (leprosy). This book was a good reminder of what terrible decisions are taken, even by people in seemingly civilized countries, on how to treat people affected by diseases.
#35 Crooked Letter, Crooked Letterin Mississippi. Great mystery. I recommend the audio version, the narrator is excellent.
#32Let's Pretend This Never Happened: A Mostly True Memoir in Texas. Texans never cease to amaze me.#33We Are Called to Rise in Las Vegas, Nevada. Interesting to read about Las Vegas without involving casinos and gambling.
#30 Summer in the South in Tennessee. Had all the ingredients of a deep south mystery but never really panned out. It was still a good read.
#28 Next to Lovein Massachusetts. I typically love books about WWII. But this one didn't really capture me. Maybe if the book focused on a main character instead of three. I didn't care for any of them.
#27 The Restorer, The Kingdom and The Prophet. It's the Graveyard Queen series. They take place in Charleston (SC) and surrounding areas. Even though I don't typically read anything with ghosts or paranormal subjects, I enjoyed the series. By the 3rd book it is getting a bit repetitive, so I hope the next book deviates from the main characters a bit more.

It was really interesting but the writing style was lacking something. Towards the end when the author talks more about her grandmother, it got to the 4 star level :)
#26 The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir for Minnesota. Even if only half the book takes place there, I could really feel the culture shock of the Hmong arriving from Vietnam/Thailand to Minnesota.
