There is an option to rent it on Amazon for Kindle which is the route I would go. Otherwise paperback would be an option noting the at least for the US delivery times are quite stalled. My library didn't have a digital copy sadly.

Sadly I have an NAS call now scheduled at this time so I won't be to attend (I'm also way behind reading the book but based on the encouraging notes here I will finish it!). I hope everyone's year is off to a great start.

I know that this is unpopular opinion but I really did not like Handmaid's Tale. I like the suggestion of "Towards Collective Liberation" I feel like we are on a great theme of action orientated learning and would love to keep it up!
I also really, really, really want to read Winners Take All.

Really enjoying it as well - her use of voice is impressive - I feel it is written from a teenagers perspective but still incredibly insightful.
Naomi - this is a very fascinating point. I find myself wanting to know more about the broader world as we really only hear from Keith's experience (I'm half way through). I'm surprised there is still a police/firefighting force although it costs and seems completely ineffective. What motivates them (besides money) to do this work? And why still trust in it? Where do those people live and what is there day to day like? I do think it's fascinating to see a new "religion" being born of this tragic state and being led by someone who typically would not be considered a leader....back to the book!

CANCELED!After chatting with a few folks in the group offline this book does not seem like a good fit. With a small group attending to begin with I think it would be best to give everyone a Friday hour back and work together to find a better fit.
What we need is to find a book similar to Blue Print for a Revolution...
Apologies for the chaos
Hi all, Apologies for more work but I've created a Doodle poll to find the best time for the discussion. Also to give us more time to read :)

Definitely happy to change books. Looking back at the poll - what about Origin of Capitalism? It seems to have the support of the group. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
It's fairly short too, which will be helpful.
Thanks Daniela for being the must needed tie-breaker ;) We will be reading Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men.
I've started a poll for us to schedule the discussion for early June https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1.... I'll start a discussion board as well.
Thanks for everyone being patient while I work through this!!
Be sure to vote for our next book - Thank you to those who have! Please share with others who may be interested. If sharing via Twitter, use #OpenAsInBook
Hi all!I'm very excited to host the next discussion!
What should we read? Any new suggestions?
Here is a link to our bookshelf with awesome options https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
I believe we are aiming for late May for the call and I will send a Doodle Poll out once we pick a book.
