86315 i gave "undersea" 3 of 5... although it's not half bad compared to other storybundle stuff... a bit too holywood'ish ;-)

oh, but why not? =) provided that my judgements remain just that — my own subjective basis to filter out what i'd rather not spend my time for =/ it's not like i said there shouldn't be a literature like that or there shouldn't be bundles like that =)

Jessica wrote: "I forgot about that bundle. I like to pretend that one never, ever happened. That was such a train wreck!"

a-ha! =) i've bought it. i've read two books from the bundle, hoping to discover a new genre =) well, i wouldn't say it was a disaster, there are obviously people who liked it enough =/

86315 great news! also the idea to share a free book among the loyal subscribers is good, at least i would never think of buying a young adult bundle (faeries from a computer game? omg… in my days young adult literature meant jules verne, mark twain, arthur conan-doyle etc.), now i hasitate =)

can't say for everyone out there… i've bought three… no, four of the storybundles with intention to read it all sooner or later, but not in one go: since i've started studying french two years ago i try to read more in french lately.

however i've read 7 of the storybundle books (and abandoned one more) and mostly have been disappointed by the quality of it =/

i do love reading indie literature, but it has to be of the quality of jeff garrity's "mars girl", cory doctorow's "someone comes to town, someone leaves town" or peter watts' "blindsight".

of course i'm a rather poor judge since english is not my native language but still… retelling a third-rate horror thriller complete with all the hollywood clichés (the "black bird" in the 2nd degree bundle) is just not my piece of reading =/

coming back to the group being dead… looks like it is =( you ideas sound great, however i'm not a goodreads librerian nor the originator of the group; what can be done to revive or restart it?
86315 Jessica wrote: "Between the two of us we've bought every StoryBundle!"

so that's what different tastes are for? =)

5. The Delilah Complex by M. J. Rose
6. Unto These Hills by Emily Sue Harvey

And if you pay more than the bonus price, you get two extra titles:

7. Nerves of Steel by CJ Lyons
8. The Venus Fix by M. J. Rose, the final chapter in the Dr. Morgan Snow trilogy

This bundle has been curated by internationally bestselling author M. J. Rose.

86315 Jessica wrote: "StoryBundle was already cool, but these extra bonuses just made them better."
i don't know, i usually skip short stories and dive right into the largest volume i have at hand =) but it's cool to have bonuses added to the bundle like that.
86315 On March 18th StoryBundle has announced more bonuses included with the current Fantasy bundle:

= Bodies of Evidence - A short fantasy/comedy story by Jefferson Smith
= The Mike Murphy Files - A set of five comedic urban fantasy stories by Christopher Bunn
= The Key - A short story by Blair MacGregor
= Jade - A novella set in the same world as The Book of Deacon Trilogy and expands on the world
= A sneak preview chapter from the sequel to The Duchess of the Shallows, by Neil McGarry and Daniel Ravipinto

Still 2 days to go, so treat yourself to the Fantasy bundle; or just downloan the new additions if you have already bought the Fantasy bundle.

86315 would be great if group moderators populated the group's bookshelf with the storybundle's titles, grouped by storybundle issue… would be easier for passers-by to see what the group is about and find something to read, and for us to add latest additions to the to-read shelves =)
