Shanghai Book Club

[close] 1. Meet approx every 6 weeks. At each meeting we'll decide the next date of book club.

2. The book club leader will also plan the meeting place (usually their apartment) and is responsible for preparing or ordering dinner (everyone else supplies the beverages).

3. If you know anyone who would like to join
hoping to keep the group around 10 people in size.

4. Missing a meeting without very good cause is grounds for book club banishment.

5. Books can be about anything as long as they are (a) Less than 400 pages and (b) readily available in China (the person choosing the book is responsible for procuring hard copies for non-ebook luddites).

6. At the start and end of every meet-up we will vote on a scale of 1-10. Stay open minded and try to finish a book even if it's not your usual book choice.
