Ha! I didn't even notice! Best guess was somewhere around the 9th century for the oldest bits of it, though the newest bits were 19th century.
Question: I’ve read a version of Arabian Nights it just might not be the same one the group picks? Does that count. It’s just that it took me forever for me to read it and I’d hate to reread it.
Read whichever version you like. We'll post a list of the tales to discuss (like we did with the Poe poems) but I expecte that many of the editions people read from will be slightly different.
Wow Arabian Nights has usually done poorly in the polls. I am excited that it's doing well and now I have to find a user friendly version.
I'm glad it's finally winning! I have a 2 volume set. I read the first volume as part of a buddy read a few years ago and enjoyed it but just haven't gotten around to the second volume.
