I like ebook format because you can normally instantly download and there are also numerous free ebooks available. Second, ebook readers normally have a dictionary - I look up hundreds of words. Third, you can carry thousands of ebooks that weigh no more than the ereader! Fourth, you don't have to have dusty book cases!!!
There are different perks that come with ebooks and paperbacks, but I personally prefer paperbacks because I get sore eyes when I look at a screen. Plus, I really love holding a book—the smell of books is really nice. Having books on my shelf also makes me feel good, even though they sometimes get dusty.
It's little bit of thought but I will go with physical book Because having physical book provide different kind of feeling like having something you can read anywhere without caring about charging, distracting notification, and etc... and I usually read book when I don't want to use phone so yes I will choose paperbacks.
I prefer paperbacks. I will read ebooks but only if my paperback isn’t nearby or available. Something about holding an actual book makes me feel warm and happy!
I’m on a screen all day at work, so when it’s reading time I need a break from the light. I always choose a physical book. I know there are some readers that don’t light up the same as a computer screen, but there’s a ‘thing’ about having a book in my hands.
I prefer ebooks for two reasons: - I wouldn’t be able to fit all of the books I own into my house, but with my Kindle, I can carry them around in my purse.
- If I finish reading one book, or don’t like one and decide to DNF, another book is just taps away, even if I’m out of the house or on vacation. No need to overpack or hope the local exchange stack has one that sounds interesting.
One more: ebooks have introduced me to some indie authors that I wouldn’t have otherwise heard of if I hadn’t come across their ebooks. I like having that opportunity to find new and upcoming authors!
I used to read paperbacks, but because of health complications it became hard to physicly hold a book in my hands. I have an e-reader since 2018 and that works perfect for me.Also because e-books cost a lot less I have more money left to discover new writers and it's easier to take risk with certain books
I have no strong preference if it is for an ARC. But if it is for my home library - a book I’m going to buy - I prefer paperback.
While I still have a house full of physical books, I almost exclusively read ebooks, simple because there more accessible and take up no space. If I bought physical books into the house I'd need to find room for them, and there isn't much space left.
Paperbacks are best for deep focus and imaginative purpose, easier to finish in one sit or more.Ebooks are short, convenient, take almost less space-kinda good fit for future world. But it often have small vague writing types, images of real books which are unclear and painful for my eyes. But my friend suggested me to read Epubs instead of Ebooks, and these are way better than Ebooks in my opinion.
Still prefer paperbacks.
I prefer paperback. I have e-readers that are good. Mostly for travel as I often read more than one book at a time. I still prefer to turn the pages and like the feeling of holding a book in my hand.
Paperback will always be better no matter what! No one can take away your physical books but they can take away your digital books.
