What is your favourite book that you have read? And who is your favourite author?

Anna Mansell Goodness Sally, apologies! I've only just seen this question here! Okay, so favourite book is split between The Diary of Anne Frank and Barbara Comyns' Our Spoons Came From Woolworths. And my favourite author? Well I love Barbara Comyns, I love people like Rowan Coleman and JoJo Moyes. Mhairi McFarlane gets me EVERY time, and Jessie Burton writes beautifully... as does Kerry Hudson... oh my, the list could be endless. I tell you what though, books that I am NEVER disappointed with ANY aspect of, are always written by Alan Bennett. I adore his use of language, his characterisation, his humour and his sadness. All of his writing gets right in to my heart! So sorry for the delay responding to this, I just totally missed it! All the best, Anna
