I have often thought about getting closer to God. When i think about it, I see myself sitting on a deserted shoreline, watching the sea as the sun gradually disappears over the horizon, waves gently lapping at my feet. I can't fathom what it means but its very beautiful. Can you explain it to me?

God is absolutely everything, as he/she made it! When the desire to feel closer to God begins to manifest within ourselves, it usually starts with beautiful images and or thoughts. The peace we find in these places helps us to associate beauty with God. As time goes by the awareness of the connection remains and we begin to see God in everything, from perfection to profane.
