Goodreads asked Michael Logan:

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Michael Logan Perhaps this is more a short story than a book, but it's something I still can't answer. Not long after I met my now-wife, we went to sleep in my rented room in a shared apartment. There was nobody else home apart from us. When we woke up in the morning, we saw, above the bed, something scrawled on the wall that had not been there the night before. It was unreadable, but clearly an attempt at writing. We thought that maybe one of us had written it in our sleep, but we couldn't find any kind of writing implement in the room that matched the ink. It could have been worse - it wasn't REDRUM or anything like that - but we were freaked out. It didn't happen again, and I moved out shortly afterwards. Ghost? Prankster home invader? My wife trying to freak me out? To this day, I don't know.
