I write non-fiction, and to me the best thing about being a writer is sharing information, thoughts, ideas, and facts to readers. I write about history, and what I think is valuable is to share stories about the past in relation to the present. So, no matter how bad things seem today, 150+ years ago, our nation was in such a huge crisis, we fought a civil war. I hope by reading what I write, people will realize that dealing with issues is better than letting them simmer.
