I don't think I've ever had writer's block, rather writer's itchy pants, where I have the problem of focusing on what I am working on and jumping about too much. If I do have a period where I can't actually write, then I normally add a diary entry and talk about my kids, my life, my students, or the fact that I keep jumping about too much, and that tends to sort it out.
