Goodreads asked Alan Drew:

What books are on your summer reading list this year?

Alan Drew I've just finished a fantastic short story collection, WHAT IT MEANS WHEN A MAN FALLS FROM THE SKY by Lesley Nneka Arimah. The collection is about Nigerian immigrants and their families, which is set both in America and Africa. There’s an element of magical realism here and stories which work as science fiction parables, but mostly these stories have moments of incredible emotional resonance and insight that often leave me incredibly moved.

Just started Janelle Brown's WATCH ME DISAPPEAR, which is a sort of psychological thriller about a young woman's search for her mother who has seemingly returned from the dead. Just a third of the way through, but reads like a big summer hit.

After that, going to jump into Michelle Richmond's THE MARRIAGE PACT.
