Hi! I really enjoyed reading your book "In Defense of the Princess", especially since I'm a BIG Disney Princess fan. I'm curious...what do you think of Disney's animated TV series "Sofia The First" and "Elena of Avalor"?

Jerramy Fine I have not seen Elena - my daughter is just now old enough to get into it, but I'm a huge fan of Sofia the First. My message is so strong in this - and is done in a way that truly resonates with preschoolers. Sometimes the song lyrics even make me cry.... "It's how you act and not how you look/
It's from within you and not from a book/ Let your inner light shine through/That's how to be a princess true"

I just got "In Defense of the Princess" recently and I was so excited to read it. I have always loved Princesses and am a feminist as well. In fact, most of the modern Disney Princesses came along when I was in my 20s - and yet I still loved them. Thank you for an empowering read!! You took the words right out of my heart. Have you seen the new Wonder Woman movie? It seems to illustrate some of what you talk about.
