Goodreads asked Lukas Grey:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Lukas Grey This one is really tough...

Are you ready?

Are you really, really ready for the best, most inspirational advice ever?

Write.

Just stop making excuses and write.

And stop editing. This was the point that was hardest for me to get through. If I had a dollar for every time I started a really good story and ended up editing it into deletion... I'd have like twenty bucks...

But I'd rather have the stories back...

So, just write. Don't go back over what you've written, not until you're done. Yes, you'll find tons of errors. Yes, you'll have plot holes, but at least until you've gotten that first story out, just write. Once you've got the first one done, it gets easier. Until then, write, and don't stop!
