Amy Poeppel
Amy Poeppel asked Louise Miller:

Hi there! I'm a huge fan of your first novel and can't wait to read The Late Bloomers' Club! Is it also set in the country? And ... will there be there more fabulous, delicious descriptions of baking??

Louise Miller Hi Amy! Thanks so much! The Late Bloomers' Club is set in the country--it is actually set in the same fictional Vermont town that I set The City Baker's Guide to Country Living in! It was fun to explore the same town from a different perspective--this time from the point of view of Nora Huckleberry, the owner of the Miss Guthrie diner. Nora was born in Guthrie and never left, so she has an insider perspective on the town.

There are definitely baking descriptions in The Late Bloomers' Club. Without giving too much away, i'll just say that cake baking plays a role in one of the subplots. And there is a recipe in the back of the book for one of my favorite New England cakes.
