Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lee Schneider I started thinking about climate change seriously when it was a literal thing for me, right in my neighborhood. A few years ago, and again right now, we've had fires in and near Southern California, where I live. We assume pleasant weather is the norm here, taking it for granted. It was a shock to see brown air and not be able to go outside. When AI became a household word, I thought I had a book, creating a thriller about a small band of resistors who are trying to manage climate change while staying free of an evil AI.
