Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

David Billingsley The Connection, due out in the fall (2018), was inspired a long time ago by an image. I was standing outside of a locally owned AM/FM radio station in a small West Texas. It was a quiet summer evening. I imagined this person strolling down the highway toward town. A mysterious person from somewhere else. That's typically how my stories arise in my head. Some place that sticks in my mind.
