Goodreads asked Jason Walz:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jason Walz The advice I give everyone was the same advice an artist friend gave me when I started working on my first book. "Just finish it."

It will never be perfect. That's impossible. In the end though, if you just complete what you started, you suddenly have access to the world of other creators out in the world. Whether you ever make a dime off that project, you can still call yourself a writer, illustrator, carpenter, musician, or really whatever else. A lot of pride comes from that, and it makes creating the next thing so much easier. Just finish it.
