Goodreads asked Hana Ferguson Fadness:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Hana Ferguson Fadness Writer's block is something every writer goes through regardless. It is hard to counsel other writers because each one of us are different in likes and dislikes as I have mentioned before in another question. We all have our own inspirations. Personally, I take walks, cook, clean, and watch videos or find articles based on the type of novel I am writing. While some actions seem like potential procrastination, sometimes doing something else for a while and taking a break helps the mind reset itself essentially and allow new ideas to flow through better. Research is another thing that is extremely important for any writer but it often sparks other ideas for novels and contributes to the novel you are working on presently. Music, food, and art are other aspects of inspiration for when you're in that dreaded writer's block struggle.
