What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Patricia Wilkinson Getting to work out what I want to say in print is such a gift. Writing is all about communication. How often have you been in a conversation with someone and thought of something better you wished you'd said later? If I don't feel I've communicated what I want to say as well as I could in nonfiction, or conveyed a character's layers and their situation in fiction, I get to revise until I'm satisfied with what's on the page. Writing is awesome!
